I interned with Nordaaker, in Oslo, and the idea to build this had been floating around for some time. All that was needed was for someone to make it look good, and to solve some niggling design problems, such as how you say ‘no’ and how a user could change the ‘umbrella threshold’ (as we called it). I worked closely with Audun Kjelstrup to make sure both that I know what the programming constraints are and that he knows what my design intentions are. The implementation was the real meat of the work, and a lot of fun.

Weather forecasts are finicky, and often too information-heavy. All I need to know is, will it rain within the next few hours? That is all it answers, and I think it’s a very effective design. I use the app daily.
