I traveled through Iceland with Geertje, my girlfriend, for three months in 2011. She made a book out of the fantastic photos she shot there, and needed a website to promote and sell the book. We talked for a long time about the complexity and style that she needed, and ended up with something minimal in scope but very refined in terms of feel and functionality.

The site features a slide show with a select choice of photos, an option to order a copy of the book, and lots of modern web technology gadgets. It looks great on mobile phones and desktop computers alike.

MakePlans

I had worked with Espen of MakePlans before, to design the back-end of the system. It was an efficient design, making it easy for people to create a time scheduling interface for their business. But what we didn’t tackle at the time was the user-facing bits. The part that matters for 99% of the visitors needed an intuitive design that would integrate well, from a tiny iframe to a full-screen web app. I designed and programmed this, building on Espen’s strong foundation.

Kaare Lund sells various brands of clothing in Norway. I designed a website, wrote the HTML and CSS and then my buddy Audun Kjelstrup helped them integrate it all.
